Importing Data into BambooHR – BambooHR Support
This support guide includes all the information you need to import data, including step by step instructions and best tips & tricks.
Import Training Video
Importing is the process by which you can transfer data from an excel spreadsheet and enter it into BambooHR. For example, if you have 25 new employees who are joining your company this week, then it might be easier to use the importer to add the employees to the system rather than manually entering each employee.
Please watch the following video to help you learn how to import employee information into BambooHR. Once you watch the video, look in the “Import Instructions” section below to find the unique URL you will use for importing.
WARNING!
The Import Tool is powerful, and has no “undo” button.
You MUST watch the training and go through the Import Tool Tutorial before using the Import Tool.
Remember to do a test import with one test employee before you do a mass import.
You may proceed to use the Import Tool at your discretion.

Once you’ve completed the above training, you can access the Import Tool of the BambooHR account you are working with using the below URL structure.
NOTE: replace the “REPLACEME” with the unique BambooHR account subdomain of the account you are importing data into.
